What is a podcast?

A podcast is a recorded, portable audio file, similar to a radio show. You can listen to podcasts online, through your favorite media player or download them to computers and portable devices. You can also subscribe to podcasts using a podcast or music program like AT&T Yahoo! Music Engine. Subscribing allows you to get the latest episodes of podcasts automatically downloaded to your portable device, like an MP3 player.

AT&T podcasts aim to go behind recent announcements to look at the trends and strategies involved, giving you a more in-depth understanding of AT&T. Our podcasts are usually 5 - 6 minutes in length and feature interviews with AT&T newsmakers in a talk-show-style format.

What is an enhanced podcast?

An enhanced podcast adds pictures, graphics, chapter information and Web links to a regular podcast. Enhanced podcasts are .m4a audio files that can be played in iTunes, QuickTime player and on current generation iPods with photo capability. The online player on AT&T podcast pages gives online listeners a similar experience.

How do I listen to an AT&T podcast?

There are several ways to listen to and view AT&T podcasts. You can use our online player to listen to our podcasts and view the images associated with them. You can download individual podcast episodes from the file links that appear with each episode. Once downloaded, the .mp3 files can be played in almost any music player or portable music player. Enhanced podcast-capable software and devices can play the .m4a files. Finally, you can subscribe to AT&T podcasts to make sure your music software and portable device always has the latest episode.
