AT&T Enlists SunEdison to Add 2MW of Solar Power in California by 2011
AT&T and SunEdison today announced that SunEdison, a leading worldwide solar energy services provider and subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE: WFR), will expand AT&T's national solar initiative by activating a new roof top solar power installation in San Diego. San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders as well as executives from AT&T and SunEdison were on hand to officially flip the switch on the solar power system. In addition to this installation in San Diego, AT&T has contracts with SunEdison to deploy five other solar power installations in California by the second quarter of 2011, equating to approximately 2 megawatts (MW) of total solar capacity for all six sites. The additional California solar deployments will be located in Dunnigan, Commerce, Mojave, Santa Ana and West Sacramento.

AT&T Supports EPA’s National Cell Phone Recycling Week
Today may be April Fool’s Day, but recycling wireless phones is no joke to AT&T and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). AT&T today announced its continued commitment to the EPA’s Plug-In To eCycling National Cell Phone Recycling Week, which runs this year April 5-11. AT&T will promote the effort in stores, online, and through community recycling drives led by the AT&T Pioneers, a group of AT&T volunteers.

HACEMOS Aims to Spark Interest in Technology Fields Among Minority Students
AT&T announced today it will connect more than 1,000 high-school students nationwide through the 12th annual National High Technology Day, to expose them to careers in fields where minorities are underrepresented--Hispanics in particular. AT&T Offers Wireless Billing Relief for Rescue Workers in Haiti
AT&T (NYSE:T) has further bolstered support for Haiti relief workers by waiving wireless usage charges for customers in Haiti who make/receive voice calls, use wireless data services or send text messages, in order to show the company’s support for those helping with relief efforts. The billing relief will be retroactive to Jan. 12, when the earthquake hit, and will be in effect until Feb. 28, 2010.
