AT&T Enlists SunEdison to Add 2MW of Solar Power in California by 2011

AT&T and SunEdison today announced that SunEdison, a leading worldwide solar energy services provider and subsidiary of MEMC Electronic Materials (NYSE: WFR), will expand AT&T's national solar initiative by activating a new roof top solar power installation in San Diego. San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders as well as executives from AT&T and SunEdison were on hand to officially flip the switch on the solar power system. In addition to this installation in San Diego, AT&T has contracts with SunEdison to deploy five other solar power installations in California by the second quarter of 2011, equating to approximately 2 megawatts (MW) of total solar capacity for all six sites. The additional California solar deployments will be located in Dunnigan, Commerce, Mojave, Santa Ana and West Sacramento.

AT&T Rolls Out Its 2,000th Alternative Fuel Vehicle and 1,500th Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle in Its Corporate Fleet

AT&T today announced the deployment of the 2,000th alternative fuel vehicle and 1,500th compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle in its corporate vehicle fleet, giving it one of the largest CNG vehicle fleets in the U.S. These milestones are part of a $565 million planned investment announced in March 2009 to replace more than 15,000 fleet vehicles with alternative fuel models through 2018. Currently, the AT&T corporate fleet includes more than 75,900 vehicles.

Tops Covalence Ethical Ranking of U.S. Telecoms

AT&T* today announced it has earned the top spot for a U.S.-based telecommunications company in the 2009 Covalence Ethical Rankings, an index tracking the ethical performance and reputation of multinational corporations. AT&T ranked second in the telecommunications sector – behind only U.K.-based Vodafone – and 28th overall in Covalence's 2009 ranking, up 126 spots from last year’s ranking. Covalence reviewed 581 global companies across 18 sectors, including 31 telecommunications companies, as part of this ranking.

AT&T Accepts Keys to Next Generation All-Electric Cargo Truck

AT&T today accepted the keys to its new all-electric cargo truck. AT&T, along with three other companies, received one of six trucks delivered by Smith Electric on Capitol Hill today - the first in a series of next-generation, all-electric commercial vehicles entering service across the United States. The vehicle, known as the Smith Newton, is the world's largest electric battery-powered truck and the first commercial all-electric truck to achieve new vehicle emissions certification in California. Acceptance of the vehicle comes on the heels of AT&T's announcement in March of a 10-year, $565 million commitment to deploy more than 15,000 alternative fuel vehicles in its fleet.

What is RSS?

RSS describes a group of file formats based on XML, that allows digested news and headlines to be easily delivered over the Internet. It enables AT&T-related headlines to be sent directly to you using standard Web-based technologies.

What do I need to receive AT&T RSS feeds?

There are two ways to receive an RSS feed: via a personal RSS aggregator application or using a Web-based RSS reader service. Subscribe once, and you will automatically receive AT&T news headlines.

If you would like to receive AT&T headlines, you first need to either: download and install an RSS reader which you can obtain at various Web sites, or create an account on a Web site that provides RSS reader functionality. Some Web portals such as My Yahoo! also provide RSS reading capabilities on your personalized home page. View a list of available RSS readers.
